At 12 years old, the owner of Spool -to- Stitch was taught basic sewing skills by her mom. But it wasn't until she was pregnant with her second child, that she pulled out the sewing machine gifted to her and started practicing her sewing skills. She began with making adorable burp cloths, and then ventured into personalizing them with embroidered names and initials.

Soon enough, word got out about her sewing and embroidery talents. Her once hobby grew into an official business. She came up with a business name while on vacation, started creating more inventory, and finally signed up on Etsy as “Spool to Stitch.”
